Helen Veidebaum Receives Gerd Neggo Dance Teacher Award

The Estonian Dance Art and Dance Education Association (ETTL) organizes a public competition once a year to find a candidate for the Gerd Neggo recognition award for a dance teacher.

Objectives: to recognize a dance teacher working in Estonia who is dedicated to their work; to introduce Estonians to Gerd Neggo, as a very important person in cultural history; to draw public attention to the art of dance and the importance of the work of dance teachers.

On November 9 of this year, Gerd Neggo was born 133 years ago. This year, the Gerd Neggo Recognition Award was awarded for the fourteenth time. The announcement of the laureate and the awarding of the award took place at the Dance Education Gala on November 17 in Tallinn. The event was organized by the Estonian Dance Education Union in cooperation with the Estonian Dance Art and Dance Education Union and the Estonian Youth Dance Association.
