Gerd Neggo Dance Teacher Recognition Scholarship laureate is Elena Poznjak-Kõlar

The aim of the scholarship of the great influenceer of Estonian dance history, dancer, dance director and teacher Gerd Neggo (09.11.1891–01.09.1974) is to recognize a dedicated dance teacher whose work reflects mastery and content, openness and willingness to co-operate, and commitment to dance.

The scholarship has been awarded for 9 years and this year's candidates were Ilma Adamson, Paul Bobkov, Sille Kapper, Anastasia Koot, Elena Poznjak-Kõlar, Kai Valtna and Helen Veidebaum.

The Gerd Neggo Dance Teacher Recognition Scholarship honors Elena Poznjak-Kõlar, who has made an invaluable contribution to preserving and developing the values of Estonian ballet culture, is a devoted teacher, former Vanemuine Theater ballet soloist and current director of the Vanemuine Dance and Ballet School.

Gerd Neggo Dance Teacher Recognition Scholarship will be presented on November 22 at the Vanemuine Theater after the ballet “Romeo and Juliet”.

In previous years, Anu Sööt, Eve Noormets, Irina Pähn, Inna Sulg, Anu Ruusmaa, Anne Tamm-Kivimets, Rene Nõmmik and Raido Mägi have received the Gerd Neggo Dance Teacher Recognition Scholarship.
