Estonian Theatre Awards 2020

On March 27th is the International Theatre Day. Usually the Estonian Theatre Awards are given out this day but this year they came differently: without a formal ceremony and a party, a day earlier via a special television broadcast on ETV, March 26th.

The Ballet Award was won by Raminta Rudžionyte-Jordan for Juliette in "Romeo and Juliette", Fermina in "Tango of love" and the soloist part in "Moorland Elegies" (Vanemuine).
One of the two Christal Shoes was given to Ketlin Oja for convenient execution of the big parts of the classical ballet repertoire: Odette/Ottilie in "Swan Lake", Aurora in "Sleeping Beauty", Sugarplum Fairy in "Nutcracker" (Estonian National Ballet).

Congratulations Raminta and Ketlin!

All other award-winners can be found here (in Estonian).

Although many theatres are closed, we hope that the time we are given off stage, brings us new ideas and strength to continue after the break even better. Happy Theatre Day!
